Lady Yukon

Lady is the Lady behind Lady's Legacy. She was the first Samoyed to come into our lives, and made us fall in love with the breed. She is the pack leader, an adventurous spirit, and a friendly social butterfly. She is actively involved in many sports, holding numerous titles. She works hard, plays hard, loves hard.

Personality

Lady has always been the stereotypical female Samoyed - super smart, super friendly, super independent, super affectionate, and super opinionated. She has a really high prey drive and is a keen hunter. She likes figuring out how things work, and is the most food motivated of the pack. She's very active, enjoying hikes, boat rides, and runs. She loves everyone she meets and doesn't believe any person or dog could be anything less than her new best friend. She is a big fan of getting all the pets and rubs. She is very well trained, and knows many commands. Absolutely a good girl at home and in public, and she enjoys all the attention her pretty looks attract.

Sports

Ladybug is a well-rounded sports dog, with titles in many venues. She has her FCAT in FastCat which is lure coursing. Her intermediate title in Rally (this is a venue she is training to do more of in the future). She has started getting trick dog titles, and has her Canine Good Citizen. She has dabbled in herding and scent work training, and I have plans to do therapy work with her in the future. She already has had nursing home visits that she did excellent with.

Her favorite and most successful sports involve rat hunting, she does both Happy Ratters and Barn Hunt. She has had impressive success in Barn hunt; in 2023 she was the top fastest Samoyed in the country at the highest level of the sport, she currently is one of only a small group of Samoyeds to ever earn a RATCHX2, or a Crazy8 Platinum Bronze title. She loves the sport, and I believe the best is yet to come for her in this venue.
